Splendour of the Seas image With the Observatory at the top of the ship, you have exceptional views of the sea during the day and of the stars at night on the Splendour of the Seas. This ship, which was built in 1996, can carry 2074 passengers in its 658 outside rooms and 327 inside rooms. About one-third of the exterior staterooms on this ship have private balconies and there are accommodations for families and those with physical disabilities. Enjoy swimming in an all-weather pool and the open Atrium filled with the natural light of the sun during the day. The elevators from the Atrium are sheathed in glass providing views of the Atrium itself and views out to sea. The wealth of activities and facilities on the Splendour of the Seas will keep you as busy as you want to be. If you wish you can spend all your time by the side of the pool, but there is no doubt you will want to experience the rock climbing wall, have a treatment at the spa, work out in the gym and try your luck in the casino. The many bars and lounges on the ship offer entertainment for everyone and the restaurants serve cuisine that will surely tickle your taste buds. Children will certainly not be bored in the full slate of games and activities in the extensive program for them on this ship. Teenagers will not be hard to get along with at all because they have their own space and don’t have to bothered by being seen with their parents.
